KRISTIN SOSNOWSKY
Kristin Sosnowsky serves as the Executive Associate Dean of the LSU College of Music and Dramatic Arts; Chair of the School of Theatre and oversees Swine Palace, the School’s affiliated Equity theatre company. In 2015, she served as the Interim Executive Director of the LSU Museum of Art. During her tenure at LSU, she has produced over 40 major professional productions including THE HEIDI CHRONICLES which was performed at the Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre and Beijing Central Academy of Drama; the world premiere of COCKTAIL which was one of 36 productions selected to represent the United States at the 2011 Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space, and the world premiere of SPILL, a multi-media theatre event and visual art installation based on the impact of the Deepwater Horizon disaster. In 2006, Swine Palace was recognized for its work on issues of social justice with the Louisiana Governor’s Arts Award for Outstanding Large Arts Organization and the 13th Annual YWCA Greater Baton Rouge Racial Justice Award. Ms. Sosnowsky teaches courses on arts marketing; fundraising and development for the arts; nonprofit financial management; and board development.
TIZA GARLAND
Garland is an Associate Professor and Associate Director of Theatre at the University of Florida where she teaches in the MFA, BFA, and BA programs. Her primary teaching responsibilities include teaching the Movement for the Actor courses, Stage Combat, and Period Styles Movement. Professor Garland is a classically trained actor and has trained with the Dah Theatre in Belgrade, Serbia in Grotowski-based work; she has studied Meyerhold’s Biomechanics with Gennadi Bogdanov, as well as trained with the United Stuntmen’s Association in Seattle, Washington. She has attended the Aerial Dance Festival in Boulder, Colorado where she trained in various aerial dance techniques and apparatus.
Garland is a Certified Movement Analyst (CMA) of Laban Movement Analysis (LMA), a Certified Teacher with the National Michael Chekhov Association, and is a Certified Teacher with both the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) and with the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat (BASSC), as well as a Senior Teacher with Dueling Arts International.
Garland recently completed her course work towards a Ph. D. in Fine Arts at Texas Tech University. She earned her MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in Theatre Pedagogy with a focus in Movement and Fight Direction, and she earned her BA in Theatre, Spanish and Asian Studies from Western Michigan University.
She served as President of the Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC) for 3 years (2015-2018).
KEVIN MCCLATCHY
Kevin McClatchy is an Associate Professor at The Ohio State University, having joined the Acting and Directing area faculty in 2013. He oversees the acting curriculum in the Department of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts. McClatchy has been a working actor for nearly thirty years in theatre, film and television. He was also the director of the Shakespeare and Autism Project—a collaboration with the Ohio State Nisonger Center, and is the lead facilitator of the Shakespeare & Veterans Initiative, a collaborative partnership with the Columbus VA.
McClatchy’s recent acting credits include The Tempest at the Royal Shakespeare Company, the films EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY EVIL AND VILE and OLD MAN AND THE GUN as well as episodes of WGN’s OUTSIDERS and NBC/Universal’s GONE.
His research interests include acting technique, the use of Laban Movement Analysis for film and television acting, creating new work through civic engagement, and Irish theatre. McClatchy is a member of Actors’ Equity Association, SAG/AFTRA and the Voice and Speech Trainer Association.
MILAGROS PONCE DE LEÓN
Ponce De León studied drawing and painting at Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and holds MFA degrees in both Studio Arts and Scenic Design from University of Maryland at College Park. Her areas of specialization include scenic design, 3D drafting, scene painting, figure drawing, color theory, and rendering for the theatre.
2021-2022 design credits include scenic designs for SCHOOL GIRLS; OR THE AFRICAN MEAN GIRLS PLAY at Cincinnati Playhouse, QUIXOTE NUEVO at Round House Theatre, THE THANKSGIVING PLAY at Olney Theatre Center, STEEL MAGNOLIAS at Everyman Theatre, and DETROIT’67 at Signature Theatre. Additional regional credits include SILENT SKY, INTO THE WOODS, JEFFERSON’S GARDEN, and RAGTIME at Ford’s Theatre; MISS YOU LIKE HELL, MATILDA THE MUSICAL, and IN THE HEIGHTS at Olney Theatre Center; and LIFE IS A DREAM at Gala Hispanic Theatre. Her work has also been seen at Ensemble Studio Theatre in NYC, Children’s Theatre of Charlotte in NC; Penn State Centre Stage; and Catalyst Theatre, Imagination Stage, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Metro Stage, National Players, Opera Vivente, Theatre Alliance, and Studio Theatre 2nd Stage in the Baltimore-Washington, D.C. area.
Upcoming projects include SILENT SKY at The Asolo Repertory Theatre and the development of the touring production of Imagination Stage/Theatre for Change’s OYEME 2, scheduled to open in 2023. Milagros has received five Helen Hayes Nominations for Outstanding Scenic Design in the Washington, D.C. area. She is a member of United Scenic Artists, Local-829, and an Associate Artist at Ford’s Theatre.
ROBIN SNELLER
Sneller has been the Head of the MFA and MA Acting International Courses at East 15 Acting School in London since 2013. Previous work at drama schools includes many years of teaching and directing at the Royal Welsh College, the Arts Educational School, and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where his production of Richard III was selected to tour to the International Shakespearean Festival in Poland. In his career as an actor, spanning over 30 years, he has appeared in over 50 productions with many leading British theatre directors and companies including productions of DAMNED FOR DESPAIR and CIDER WITH ROSIE directed by the Olivier, Tony and BAFTA award winning director Stephen Daldry, MIND MILLIE FOR ME in London’s West End directed by Sir Peter Hall, founder of the Royal Shakespeare Company and Director of the National Theatre, THE RECRUITING OFFICER and THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS at the National Theatre in London directed by Nicholas Hytner, and Pirandello’s THE MOUNTAIN GIANTS at the National Theatre directed by William Gaskill. He has also played in many seasons at the Glasgow Citizen’s Theatre, Leicester Haymarket, and the Edinburgh Royal Lyceum Theatre. Television work includes series for the BBC, HBO, and ITV in the UK. He is a Senior Fellow (SFHEA) of The Higher Education Academy.
