Part of the University of West London, DSL is based in a Victorian manor house in Ealing; a pastoral area of West London with plenty of parks, open spaces and cultural activities, famed for its connections to the film and TV industries.

“Drama Studio London is delighted to be joining URTA, since we want to encourage the globalisation of professional acting opportunities. URTA brings together talent from across America and the students who choose to train with us in London have proved dynamic and inspiring,” said Emma Lucia Hands, Director of Drama Studio London.

The MFA in Professional Acting provides practical, in-depth, industry informed practice with rigorous academic study and performance research. The intensive, two-year program mixes classes in voice, movement and text with a constant number of projects and productions, as well as a West End Showcase, a Graduate Repertory Season and professional Showreel material. Eligible graduates also have the opportunity perform at Dublin and New York Showcases.

“We’re thrilled to add another international member program to URTA, providing even more variety of opportunities to student candidates at the URTA Auditions & Interviews,” said URTA’s Executive Director, Tony Hagopian.

The program also offers an option to take part in a range of national and international residencies, which in the past have included Poland, USA, Kristin Linklater Centre, Orkney and at the Royal Shakespeare Company and Shakespeare’s Globe. Graduates have a high global employment rate and include Forest Whitaker, Olivia Vinall and Emily Watson.
