URTA Board Adds Two New Directors
Michael Bradford of University of Connecticut and Kip Marsh of Brooklyn College were elected to the URTA board of directors, in a January vote by URTA member universities.
Bradford is Head of Dramatic Arts at UConn and the Artistic Director of the Connecticut Repertory Theatre. Marsh is the Chair of Dept. of Theater and Head of the Design & Technical Production programs at Brooklyn College. Both will begin their term of service this summer.
URTA membership also re-elected Holly Poe Durbin of the University of California, Irvine and Robert Ramirez of the University of Texas, Austin as President and Vice-President, respectively. Also re-elected to new, three-year terms as directors were Colleen Kelly of the University of Virginia, and Kristin Sosnowsky of Louisiana State University.
The 12-member board of directors shapes the values and mission of URTA, and work to advance the interests of artists-in-training, professional faculty and their institutions, and the theatre profession generally.
Other current members of the URTA board include Marissa Chibas (Calarts), Mary Beth Easley (University of Iowa), Deanna Fitzgerald (University of Arizona), Brackley Frayer (UNLV), Jacob Pinholster (Arizona State University), Brant Pope (University of Texas, Austin).
