What drew you to go abroad and study at East 15’s MFA program?

I was specifically looking for programs that were rooted in the exploration of character from numerous, and new (to me) ways. E15 has a reputation for exploration and range in the training, and I felt that I had outgrown my toolbox and wanted to ensure that the graduate program I chose was new and different. Hopefully it goes without saying that it doesn’t hurt to be able to live in England for this time as well. Aside from living abroad, I have had the opportunity to train in an environment/market that not only appreciates, but values highly trained artists who work through an international perspective.

What is your favorite production you have worked on so far?

My favorite production so far has been Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard. It was my favorite because I was encouraged for the first time in my career to completely transform myself into another person–physically, mentally, emotionally, etc. The holistic process I played with during that rehearsal laid an incredibly strong foundation for my standards of practice and my self discovery moving forward.

What are your favorite things to do in London?

London is an incredible city. My favorite thing to do is to be in it. I love going up there at night, just to be around everyone and explore. Camden and Kentish Town have to be my favorite places. I love live music and street food and business and this is where you can go all day/every day to find that. Every time I think I know my favorite spots, London unravels a little bit more.
