What is your go-to lunch spot on or near campus?

Tatum Lounge, our on-campus coffee shop. Aside from providing the necessary fuel for graduate study, they have some pretty good pastries and grab-and-go options.

What has been your favorite class so far, and why?

Production by Design. The first class for all designers and directors in the School of Theatre, it throws you right into generating work, and challenging your process. The work can be staged or site-specific, and we start with solo pieces before moving to small group pieces, then large group work with critiques in between.

What does your typical Saturday look like?

If I’m not in rehearsal, I use Saturday as my Los Angeles day. I hop on the Metrolink, get down to the city in an hour to hang out with friends or explore events in the city.

Describe CalArts in three words.

Interdisciplinary, Idiosyncratic, Intense.
