Where is your favorite place to do work?

The place where I spend the most time doing paperwork, or studying, is my office. All of the design candidates have fourth floor offices in the Auditorium Building. The best part about our offices is that they all have beautiful windows filling an entire wall that overlook Farm Lane. I find myself looking out the window over towards the Red Cedar River and the trees that surround it.

What does your typical Saturday look like?

I try my best to relax on Saturdays. But I have such a busy mind that is always thinking about what is next. Usually in the evening I end up working in one of the rendering programs we use here, or reading a book about lighting, sound, or theatre that I found through colleagues and peers while studying here. A great way to spend a Saturday in Lansing is biking around town with a camera. There is a great balance of city and wildlife here.

What has been your favorite production to work on so far?
My favorite production I have worked on here has to be Hair. I was the sound designer for the production, and we had just received a new DiGiCo Board which I had never used. So I had the opportunity to learn a new sound board, and design for a space that was very new to me.
